In an industrial cable, the layers under the armour are as important as the armour itself. TECK90 combines insulated conductors with inner and outer jackets around a metallic armour system. That structure makes it a distinct purchasing specification for Canadian industrial power and control programmes.

Inside the cable
The representative multicore copper TECK90 assembly has XLPE-insulated conductors and a bare copper bonding conductor, an inner PVC jacket, interlocked metallic armour and an outer PVC jacket. The inner jacket lies beneath the armour; it must not disappear from the cross-section. Conductor count, metal, bond size, armour material and overall dimensions vary with the selected construction. Single-conductor versions also require their own engineering review.

Where it is used
TECK90 enquiries commonly come from process plants, industrial facilities and power or control projects needing mechanical and environmental protection. Suitable products support wet and dry routes, trays and direct burial within their documented applications. The presence of those features should be checked for the selected cable and fittings rather than generalized to every armoured product offered under a similar name.

Ratings and selection points
Hazardous-location use requires the correct cable approval and compatible termination system for the classified location. An HL claim cannot be inferred from the layer stack. Voltage, flame class, cold handling, corrosion exposure and bend limits also belong in the specification review. When comparing TECK90 with ACWU90, identify the inner bedding layer and the full approval scope instead of comparing only conductor area and outside jacket colour.

A clearer factory RFQ
For a three-phase industrial feeder, state the number and size of insulated power conductors, the bond, voltage, inner jacket, armour and outer-jacket requirements. Describe tray, buried or exposed routing and any classified location. Add continuous reel lengths, maximum delivery reel dimensions and required inspection documents.
Compare the TGS TECK90 configurations for the available reference size tables. State the required conductor resistance, nominal dimensions, test documents and marking for the exact order. Reference tables and illustrations guide the enquiry; the agreed drawing and approved specification define production.
Manufacturing in Vietnam with TGS
TGS Cable Industrial is a large manufacturing group producing wire and cable in Vietnam. The group has served Costco, Walmart, Target and many other customers for more than five years. That company-wide experience informs our work with importers, distributors and retail supply programmes. For your TECK90 enquiry, our factory team reviews the construction, destination requirements, quantities and packing before confirming the order.

Frequently asked questions
What is the layer difference between TECK90 and the ACWU90 reference?
The TECK90 construction shown has an inner PVC jacket beneath the armour and an outer jacket over it. The selected ACWU90 reference has no separate inner PVC bedding jacket.
Does every TECK90 cable qualify for hazardous locations?
No. The particular cable approval, location requirements and gland or fitting system must be checked together.
Technical references
Manufacturer references explain the representative cable family and construction. They do not certify a TGS product. The agreed order drawing, product marking and applicable approval documents define the supplied cable.
