An outdoor armoured feeder needs more than a metallic barrier. ACWU90 combines insulated conductors, armour and an overall protective jacket for wet and underground applications within its rating. For importers, the drawing also helps distinguish it from TECK90, whose layer arrangement is different.

Inside the cable
The representative copper ACWU90 assembly contains XLPE-insulated circuit conductors, a bare bonding conductor, binder or filler material, interlocked armour and an overall PVC jacket. The selected reference does not have TECK90’s separate inner PVC bedding jacket beneath the armour. Aluminium-conductor versions also exist. The conductor metal, bond material, armour type and exact layer stack must be stated for the selected product.

Where it is used
ACWU90 is relevant to outdoor power feeders, permitted wet cable-tray installations and direct-burial routes where the selected cable and installation method support them. Buyers supplying Canadian industrial or commercial projects should identify both the electrical load and the environment. Jacket requirements may differ where sunlight, chemicals, cold handling or mechanical exposure are part of the route.

Ratings and selection points
Do not infer hazardous-location approval from ACWU90 alone. The actual cable certification, location classification and compatible fittings must align. Similarly, the overall jacket does not settle every corrosion or immersion requirement. Confirm voltage, conductor temperature category, flame performance and handling limits from the chosen product. Comparing ACWU90 and TECK90 requires attention to the layer arrangement as well as conductor size and price.

A clearer factory RFQ
A jacketed-armour RFQ should list conductor material, core count, circuit and bond sizes, insulation, armour and outer-jacket specification. Describe wet or buried conditions and the required fittings. Include reel lengths and destination documents, with a cross-sectional drawing showing whether an inner bedding jacket is present.
Compare the TGS ACWU90 configurations for the available reference size tables. State the required conductor resistance, nominal dimensions, test documents and marking for the exact order. Reference tables and illustrations guide the enquiry; the agreed drawing and approved specification define production.
Manufacturing in Vietnam with TGS
TGS Cable Industrial is a large manufacturing group producing wire and cable in Vietnam. The group has served Costco, Walmart, Target and many other customers for more than five years. That company-wide experience informs our work with importers, distributors and retail supply programmes. For your ACWU90 enquiry, our factory team reviews the construction, destination requirements, quantities and packing before confirming the order.

Frequently asked questions
How is ACWU90 different from TECK90?
In the representative constructions here, TECK90 has an inner PVC jacket under the armour as well as an outer jacket. The selected ACWU90 reference has the outer jacket and armour without that separate inner bedding layer.
Does ACWU90 automatically qualify for a hazardous area?
No. Review the exact cable approval, area requirements and fitting system. The family designation alone is insufficient.
Technical references
Manufacturer references explain the representative cable family and construction. They do not certify a TGS product. The agreed order drawing, product marking and applicable approval documents define the supplied cable.
